I tease him about it all the time, but secretly? I kind of love it. Because secretly I am a nerd too. (Maybe not so secretly. Let's just pretend you all think I'm cool, okay?)
One of my favorite things about our relationship is that our interests overlap enough that we can geek out over weird stuff together and it is So. Much. Fun.
Han Solo loved Leia, sure, but who did he love first? The Millennium Falcon. Which is why David put so much effort into the details of these costumes. It's why we've worn them two Halloweens in a row, and why we didn't mind hamming it up for a silly photo shoot with Lydia to immortalize them.
Because they took care of each other. Because they worked well together. Because their love was true, princesses notwithstanding.
You guys, I love my geeky boy. I love that he will play dress up with me. I love his creative mind. I love that he makes me laugh every single day. I love our ridiculous geeky love.
