Today I'm guest posting over at Deidre Emme about style and confidence and things that I'm not necessarily very good at but about which I have very strong feelings.
Most of which boil down to this:
"Wear clothing that makes you
happy and that let you live your life the way you want to live it...[and that] enables you to be your best self."
They're
just clothes, after all. Their main job is to cover your nakedness so
you can participate in society without things getting embarrassing and
unhygienic. Beyond that? It's your thing; do what you wanna do! (The
Isley Brothers knew what was up, y'all.)
Go read more of my thoughts here. Even better, check out Deidre's entire Fashion Fits Everyone series. It's good stuff.
And
don't mind all these outtakes. Margot was half-naked because I had just
cleaned her off after she jumped in a giant muddy puddle. Mila was
showing off her underpants and loudly exclaiming that there were "three
white guys" across the street. (There were only two and they were
Mexican. Awkward.) And I was just living my glamorous life. In my
clothes. As I do.
I'm so fancy.

Outfit details (for anyone who cares):
shirt: J Crew Factory / jeans: Gap (mine are super old; these are the latest version) / cardigan: Banana Republic (no longer available) / shoes: Lulu's (no longer available) / necklace: J Crew Factory
And,
since we're going full disclosure here, I get tall/long sizes whenever
possible (both shirt and jeans are talls) and pretty consistently wear a
