Katie of "Katilda"

She's here! Really and truly! And wait till you hear all about it, because people, things did NOT go at all as expected. Oh. My. Goodness. But that will wait until tomorrow or the day after, because I'm still at the hospital snuggling my sweet munchkin and enjoying the room service.

Until then you get to hear from Katie who writes about all kinds of great stuff--from the thought-provoking profound to the gut-busting hilarious--over at Katilda. She was the other hostess of the AZ Blogger Meetup back in February that I enjoyed so much. She's smart and witty and clearly one of those high quality people you just instantly like. She's sharing one of her infamous Awkward/Awesome posts with us today because I told her how much I love them. This girl cracks me up and I can totally relate... mostly to the awkward stuff, of course. Enjoy!  

Awkward...
▲ I burned myself with a curling iron the other day and proceeded to cover my forehead in Neosporin to prevent a mark from showing up. Result: a mark still showed up and my bangs became strangely greasy from Neosporin.

▲ Thought I deserved a jamba after dealing with a flat tire last week. When the guy (an endearing older man named Juan) handed me my drink, I managed to punch a hole in the side of it with my thumb. He said, "You gotta chop nail." Relevant fact: I was wearing my karate kid shirt that day. I probably didn't know my own strength.

▲ My home thermostat is in Celcius for some unknown reason and has been this way for the past 3 years. Fact: I no longer know how to heat/cool a home using Fahrenheit temps.

▲ My roomie is a therapist and had some literature on helping pregnant teens. Under "common misconceptions about motherhood," it included things like "my baby will love me" and "my baby will be fun." Sorry, expectant mothers. Your baby will neither love you nor be any fun. #motivating

▲ Further proof that I brought overalls back last year because Urban Outfitters now sells them in addition to Anthropologie. I'm totally taking full credit, even if mine were significantly cheaper and came straight from China.

▲ The trailer for the new Jackie Robinson movie because it gives me the feels. Seriously, watch it. Gosh I love baseball and inspiration.
