Happy almost new year!

The year is on its way out.

It was a good one in so many ways, but now that it's nearly gone, I can't believe it went by so fast!

I have an idea of what to expect from next year, but of course you never really know. I'm bracing myself for some hard stuff, some scary stuff, but also some really great stuff. And I'm sure there will be times when that is all the same stuff. That's life, right? Hard and scary and great and messy and chaotic and beautiful and all of it.

I plan to embrace it all, with an open mind and heart, and hopefully some humor and grace. I can be graceful, right? (She asks while typing with one hand and trying to soothe a crying baby with the other... At least I've got the humorous bit down.)

At any rate, adios 2015! It's been real. And here's to you, 2016, whatever you have in store for us.
