Jibber Jabber, ep. 5

Mila sure is keeping me on my toes these days. The things that kid remembers. The words she knows. I am stunned by some of the stuff she comes up with...and then she says something else and I die laughing.

Some of my favorites of her frequent mispronunciations:

teesh = teeth
breftiss = breakfast
oreport = airport

plano = piano

And a handful of goofy things she's said lately:

Making up a song...
"Ci'mon roll cake is fun ta eat, fun ta eat, fun ta eat, fun ta eat, fun ta eat. Eat a big bite, yum yum. Eat a little bite, yum yum. Eat it all up, yum yum yuuuuuum!"

As I was changing her diaper...
Me: Wow girl. You win the prize for the most poop in a single diaper.
Mila: We don't eat our poops.
Me: No. We really really don't.
Mila: We don't touch our poops.
Me: Nope. We don't do that either.
Mila: Poops are yucky yuck.
Me: Yes they are.

As I was tickling and throwing her around...
"Be careful, Mama! Don't squeeze me out the juice!"

Out of nowhere...
Mila: My gums are uhMAYzing. (She actually did jazz hands while saying amazing.)
Me: What?
Mila: I said my gums are uhMAYzing! (Repeat jazz hands.)
Me: ...

To the tune of Jingle Bells...
"Ice cream time! Ice cream time! Ice cream all the waaaaay!"

After David told her to use her spoon to eat her dinner...
"I will use it like a shovel. I will shovel my food in my face hole."

Oh that girl. I just want to squeeze her out the juice.

    1. To be fair, David says it sometimes, so it's not like she came up with it on her own. Still...much funnier coming from her.

  2. Jazz hands, because they're obviously required when talking about gums.

  3. Oh man, that face hole one totally got me. I love two-year-olds (wait, how are our kids almost three?!).

    1. I don't even know. It's so weird how fast it happened.

    1. She got the singing from both her parents. David's made up songs are impressive!
