Grievances

I am grieved, Festivus is too far away, and I can't wait any longer. These need to be aired now. I'm sure I can come up with more by December.

1) The beginning of June was lovely (only in the 90's!) but now that it's supposed to be monsoon season (my favorite part of summer) it's just hot and sticky and gross. What happened to that "dry heat" everyone talks about? I am uncomfortable. Stupid Phoenix.

2) For nearly 2 years now, David and I have been tapping into an unsecured wireless connection in our neighborhood. Free internets! Hooray! Except suddenly the connection still exists but is non-functioning. So our computers think they're surfing the webs, but we're staring at the internet error message of death. Stupid internet.

3) I've been out of school and out of a job for nearly a month now and nobody has offered me a job yet. It's not like I'm unemployable. I've got work experience, I've got education, I've got charisma. I'm just too lazy to apply anywhere, and unfortunately, nobody has picked up on the "hire me" vibes I'm sending out. Stupid job hunting.

On the upside, I went on a road trip with my dad to San Diego last weekend, the state budget might not pass which could get me out of jury duty (If the courts have no money, how can they hold any trials? Riddle me that.), and I'm crocheting an afghan. So at least there's that.

I often wonder why people live in Phoenix. I guess the winters are nice, right? Hope you survive the summer though!

I have jury duty, too. Not cool.

And I'd take a hot, sunny summer over a cold, dark winter any day.
